Succulent Plant Losing Leaves. Crassula ovata, or more commonly known as the jade plant, lucky plant, money plant or money tree, is a type of succulent plant native to south africa and mozambique. The chubby leaves resemble bear paws and are the reason for the cute name.

Succulents can start to drop their leaves if they’re kept in low light conditions for too long. Succulents actually like being soaked, just like cacti do, so i don’t recommend using a spray bottle at all. The most common one is bear’s paw succulent leaves falling off. Winter drafts are just as damaging as low light.
Only pull off the leaves that come off easily, or are totally dead. However, if your plant gets too little sunlight, it will also go wrong. Losing leaves is often a sign of stress due to overwatering or damp soils that retains too much moisture.
